Learnt in NCT

Overwhelmed by sadness... Just wanna take this opportunity to tell the class how much i'm gonna miss them all. Especially my clique... Went through thick and thin with you guys and although i didn't get a tiny bit more mature, i still learnt alot from you guys. Best wishes to everyone!

On the topic of what I've learnt in NCT, I can identify with Wan Tong and Fitri's post about the fear of being tracked and the disadvantages of convenience. After hearing from Miss Kwa that the Singapore Govt can actually track your every move online and even know that you've changed your ip address is scary. Yes, we have come to an age where every single thing comes with convenience. The tapping of ezlink cards, the access to information on the net, the biometrics passports and your mobile phones. All of these come with the price of privacy and vulnerability of identity theft. Though we may never come to the point like how shops identify customers in minority report, but technology would still come to a point where the government could use tracking softwares to record our each and every move into a Hard Disk.

As and when they need information, they'll just pull it out and use it against you. Maybe just maybe, we should stand up against this invasion of privacy but can humans improve way of life without compromising privacy?
