Lessons learnt in school...

It is a disturbing truth that our online behaviours and activities can be easily tracked by the government and ISP. But what choice do we have? Technology has already taken the role of a policeman. All it takes is your IP address, and they will be able to see the websites you visited and the things you downloaded. Depending on your luck (for now), you may be let off the hook by paying a fine for doing the things you shouldn't do on the internet. In more serious cases, you may face a legal charge.

While this may help to deter piracy and crack down other illegal activities, our privacy is being compromised as a result. In this technology-driven age, it is becoming more difficult for us to conceal our record of activities online and offline too. Some of us may not like the way our privacy is intruded but still, we can never escape from the grasp of technology. No matter how much we voice out our displeasure, the fact remains this way and forever.

So is technology doing any good for us? Perhaps in eyes of the law, yes. But for commoners like myself, also yes but only to a certain extent.
