NCT - Lessons Learnt.
Ok, i'm very very very late. But at least, i came. Haha!What have i learnt from NCT?
Well, i guess, first and foremost, the need to protect ourselves on the Internet.
Just when we thought the Internet is a platform for us to talk freely and get all the information we want, we seem to overlook the fact that people can actually track us down too. All along, I really didn't care about the personal information that i've revealed on the internet (yes, i guess i'm the only idiot who didn't really bothered and will just give my contact numbers and stuff on the Internet).
IP address - yes, our own unique IP address. That is how the Internet determines our identities. On the Internet, our names are not exactly what represents us. Yes, it's those numbers that really reflect who we are. =X
But thank God, there's NCT! Haha. I've learned how to (somehow) mask my IP address. Yayness!
Of course, that's not foolproof lahs. I guess the government's Intelligence Unit can find me (if they want to, since they are "Intelligent". haha!).
I've also learned the importance to always delete cookies. From now on, i shall put it into practice. Yes, i didn't have the habit of deleting cookies as well! o.O
Ok. Let's stop banging on the same point. Another thing i've learnt in NCT is the speed at which technology is advancing.
I'm impressed. Really. Holograms, biometrics, NFC etc etc.
One thing that really got me interested is, of course, holograms! I guess it's one of the stuff that i liked most, especially after watching Minority Report. 3D effects. Yes, i guess when it's officially launched in Singapore, it'll create another craze, just like 3G phones!
OMGOMGOMG! Technologies, it's moving so fast!
And yes, that reminds me that i've yet to read the newspapers for today! Guess i'm still not used to the need to read papers daily. But Ms Kwa already said, we have to keep updating ourselves and the best way to do so is to READ THE PAPERS! So yes, i'm going to read now.
